Thinking About Serving as a Peer Coach?

What is Peer Coaching?

Coaches honor their peers as the expert in their life and work and believe that every person is creative, resourceful and whole. Standing on this foundation, the coach's responsibility is to:

  • Discover, clarify, and align with what the peer wants to achieve
  • Encourage self-discovery
  • Elicit peer-generated solutions and strategies
  • Hold the peer responsible and accountable
Key Characteristics of the Initiative's Peer Coaches:
  • Engage others in the discovery process of how God is moving in their life
  • Enjoy asking great questions that prompt learning and curiosity
  • Create an environment where individuals and groups can learn and grow
  • Use the resources provided for the initiative
  • Personally loves to learn
